First Things First!

The Coast Guard strongly encourages boaters to file a float plan with their local marina,friends or family, wear life jackets when on the water, to have a radio on their boat to contact help in an emergency and to carry flares onboard their vessels for signaling rescuers. Have your boat registration and necessary fishing license available at all times.
Inspect all personal flotation devices prior to leaving the dock.

Wachapreague, Virginia is one of the first and best places in the mid-Atlantic region to catch summer flounder. Flounder action starts in early April attracting fisherman from all over the Eastern Seaboard.

Capt. Zed's Annual Spring Flounder Tournament is a season opener that draws over 500 anglers in search of doormat size flounder.
